Morley’s has confirmed it will open in the former BHS unit at Broadway Shopping Centre in Bexleyheath next month, securing up to 100 new jobs.
The 50,000 sq ft store is located in a shopping centre owned by New River REIT and follows a major refit of the space. It will offer womenswear, accessories, menswear, stationery and a restaurant on the ground floor, as well as a home department on the first floor.
Brands and retailers to be offered in store include Topshop and Topman, Radley, Barbour, Moss Bros, Oasis, Phase Eight, Wallis, Miss Selfridge, Cath Kidston, Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste and Ted Baker.
The store will be Morley Group’s ninth and follows on from the recent redevelopment of the Camp Hopson store in Newbury. Morleys was founded in 1927 in Brixton and has stores in Wimbledon, Ilford, Holloway, Tooting, Upminster, Newbury and Enfield.
BHS closed its doors last summer. Its former manager, Sophie Cassat, has been appointed to the same role at the new store.
The Broadway Shopping Centre is also home to retailers including Marks & Spencer, H&M, TK Maxx, New Look and Sainsbury’s.
