Morrisons to roll out womenswear next year

Morrisons will launch womenswear to 50 stores across the UK early next year, chief executive David Potts said at the supermarket chain’s annual general meeting today.

The chain currently offers kidswear and adult basics under the Nutmeg label. Drapers understands a full womenswear collection will be developed under the same name.

In March this year, the supermarket entered the top 20 clothing retailers in the UK by volume share, according to Kantar Worldpanel.
