Moschino has appointed Alessandro Varisco as managing director to head up the Italian designer brand.
Varisco previously worked at luxury brand Roberta di Camerino where he was general manager. He has also worked for Gianfranco Ferrè, Versace and Valentino.
Varisco will take on the responsibilities of former chief executive Thierry Andretta who left Moschino in January.
Moschino is owned by Aeffe Group which also owns the Jean Paul Gaultier and Pollini brands. Aeffe chairman Massimo Ferretti said: “I welcome Massimo Varisco who I am positive will undertake his new position with dedication and competence, providing further enthusiasm within our group.”
Varisco said: “I am pleased to take this new challenge and I trust that dynamism and organisation will lead us to achieve important company outcomes.”
