Moss Bros ventures outside UK with RoI store

Moss Bros will open its first shop outside the UK this month, at Kildare Village retail park in the Republic of Ireland. The 2,400 sq ft Savoy Taylors Guild store will sell brands including Zegna, Cerutti De Havilland and Ventuno, plus the eponymous own brand. Meanwhile, House of Fraser chairman Don McCarthy and ex-BDO Stoy Hayward director Tony Bogod - both from Unity Investments, which has a 28.5% stake in Moss Bros - have been named non-executive directors at Moss Bros. The group's like-for-like sales fell 0.8% for the 16 weeks to May 25, which it blamed on the poor performance of its hire business.
