Mothercare looks overseas as store sales soften in UK

Mothercare is pushing its online, overseas and out-of-town retail offers after its UK store sales fell by 1% for the 11 weeks to March 31. Chief executive Ben Gordon told Drapers that its focus on the internet, where sales grew 15% for the year, was becoming more important and that he would open more out-of-town stores this year.
