Mothercare non-exec directors to step down

Mothercare has announced that non-executive directors Richard Rivers and Lee Ginsberg are to step down from their roles in the business.

Rivers, who has served as a non-executive director on the Mothercare board for 11 years, is not standing for re-election and will step down from his role on 19 July.

Ginsberg, who is also due to step down in July, is leaving the retailer due to new roles he has taken outside the company that, according to the firm “could impact his commitment to support Mothercare”.

Mothercare will launch a search to replace Rivers with a new senior non-executive director after the completion of fundraising.

Ginsberg will be succeeded by Nick Wharton, non-executive director, as chair of the audit and risk committee.
