Mothercare poaches Monsoon Accessorize's international boss

Mothercare has appointed Kevin Rusling, international director of Monsoon Accessorize, as its managing director of international.

Rusling will join the maternity and kidswear retailer in March next year. He will assume responsibility for the company’s international franchise business, comprising more than 1,300 stores in 56 countries.

Rusling joined Monsoon Accessorize in 2013. Prior to that, he ran the international business at George at Asda for five years. He was previously international manager at Marks & Spencer for 12 years.

Mark Newton-Jones, chief executive at Mothercare, said: “The extensive experience he brings to our business will enable us to continue to successfully drive our international strategy and deliver our vision of being the leading global retailer for parents and young children.”

  • What happened to the Jerry Cull who was the International Director there? He was great and kept the business going by managing the International business when the board were, how can I put this, dysfunctional.
