MP threatens to publish full BHS report

MP Frank Field has threatened to publish a Financial Reporting Council report into the accounts of collapsed retailer BHS if Sir Phillip Green wins a legal battle to redact it.

Green is seeking to prevent the full publication of the watchdog’s report, arguing that references to him and other members of BHS management could cause “serious and potentially irreparable harm” to their reputations.

Field, who chairs the work and pensions select committee and led the inquiry into BHS, has said that he could use parliamentary privilege to publish the report.
