M&S ecommerce chief to take maternity break

Marks & Spencer has rejigged responsibility for its retail and ecommerce operations as Laura Wade-Gery, executive director of multichannel, goes on maternity leave on September 1.

Director of retail Sacha Berendji and director of M&S.com David Walmsley will report directly to chief executive Marc Bolland until Wade-Gery returns in January.

Chief finance officer Helen Weir will be responsible for ecommerce distribution during the four-month period.
