M&S teams up with Sports England to raise funds for women in sport

Marks & Spencer has partnered with government-backed funding initiative Sport England to produce a limited edition ‘This Girl Can’ T-shirt.

The T-shirts, which are available in sizes 8–24, can be purchased from selected M&S stores or online from today (June 4), priced at £12.50. £1 from every T-shirt sold will be used by Sport England to fund projects to help women get more active.

Sport England has also launched an app where users can upload images of themselves wearing the T-shirts as they take part in sporting activities. The best pictures will feature on digital sites in shopping centres around the UK at the end of June.

Paula Bonham-Carter, head of womenswear buying at M&S, said: “We hope this helps to encourage women to get on board with the campaign and wear their This Girl Can T-shirts with pride.”
