M&S to launch £8 bra range

Marks & Spencer is launching a new entry-priced young fashion lingerie offer for January that will include its lowest-priced bra yet, at just £8.
The mix and match Fashion for Less range will feature mainly cotton jersey, and will include printed moulded cotton bras for £8 and matching knickers for £2. A vest and knicker set will be priced at just £6. At present, M&S’s cheapest individual bra (which is not sold as part of a multipack) retails at £9.50.

The Fashion for Less range will be made up of 90 options across three colourways.

M&S head of lingerie design Soozie Jenkinson told Drapers that elements of the range would go into all M&S stores from mid January and that some sleepwear would be introduced later in the season.

She said: “It’s a significant buy for us. Our prices have been getting keener but this range brings great price and fashion together in a younger, more fun way. There is a lot of print in this collection, and we are finding that print is now becoming more important across all our ranges.”

Jenkinson added that a quarter of M&S bra sales were now in size D and above and that the retailer was trialling J cups in its Truly You lingerie sub-brand.
