M&S unveils Take That ad

Marks & Spencer has given the industry its first sneak preview of its new menswear ad campaign featuring boy band Take That.

The sequence of ad shots feature band members Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange wearing a range of items from the retailer's Autograph menswear collection.

The campaign, which was shot by Rankin, will feature group shots as well as individual shots of each band member. The ads will break in print and on billboards on October 4.

Take That said in a statement, "It's brilliant to be working with such a strong British brands as M&S and to be the faces for the new autumn Autograph campaign. We were really impressed with the Plan A eco-initiative that M&S launched in January and the commitments the company has made towards greener retailing.

"It's really important to us to work with people who share our values as well as make great clothes."

Suiting prices start from £129 for a mainline Autograph jacket and trouser. The collection worn by the band is available in 270 store nationwide.
