Bank founder gears up for September launch of women’s young fashion etailer

Bank founder Andy Scott is understood to be plotting to launch a women’s young fashion website in September.

The site has a landing page and blog content at www.dressmeonline.co.uk, but sources this week told Drapers that the Dress Me name was still a working title which might change before the site goes live.

Scott is believed to have targeted brands including Little Mistress, Paul’s Boutique and Rare.

Dress Me has created a Facebook page on which it has posted a job advert for a new media assistant.

It is also recruiting for a team of bloggers and is understood to have hired Boohoo.com senior buyer Hayley Rock. On Facebook the retailer describes itself as “a new kind of online boutique, presenting bespoke edited fashion just for you”.

Scott co-founded young fashion chain Bank in 1994 and sold it to JD Sports Fashion for £18.5m in 2007. He initially stayed on in the role of buying director but left last October.
