My-wardrobe boosted by strong Xmas sales, the premium etailer, recorded a 201% uplift in sales in December, helping it to a 190% increase in sales to £2.56 million for the second half of the year.

My-wardrobe said that sales had risen to £557,000 in December alone, against £185,000 in December 2007.

My-wardrobe said it had experienced a 210% like for like increase in unique visitors to its site during the month, equivalent to 259,000 visitors against 79,000 the previous year.

My-wardrobe founder and chief executive Sarah Curran said: “In spite of the current climate, 2008 has been a phenomenal year for, both in terms of sales and visitors to the site, with December sales, defying all industry reports. This year is going to be extremely tough for everyone, but our focus will be to continue to improve our product - providing our customers with luxury womenswear and menswear fashion that’s accessible in terms of price,coupled with exceptional customer service.”
