My-Wardrobe.com reports strong sales from menswear

Premium etailer My-Wardrobe.com has recorded sales of £1.4m from its menswear business in the first year of trading.

My-Wardrobe.com, which added menswear brands to its site at the end of January 2009, said that menswear sales in the first two weeks of February 2010 were up more than 100% compared to the same weeks in 2009.

My-wardrobe.com menswear has now added new brands for spring 10. Villbrequin, 3.1 Philip Lim and Levi’s are now available on the website. Aquascutum and Pretty Green will be added soon. The five new menswear brands will sit alongside labels that have been sold for the past year, which include Polo Ralph Lauren, Paul Smith, Mulberry and Burberry Brit.

Sarah Curran, founder and chief executive of my-wardrobe.com, said: “The last twelve months have been tough for retail as a whole, so we are extremely pleased with the first year’s performance of menswear. The buying team has continued to introduce new designers to the brand mix to make the offer even stronger for spring 10. With continued investment into innovation and marketing, we are looking forward to building on the success of this year’s growth.”
