MySale back in the black

Australian flash Sales site MySale returned to profit in the six months to June 30, with an underlying EBITDA of A$200,000 (£91,622).

For the full year to June 30 the etailer made a loss of A$11.2m (£5.1m) in line with guidance, down from an underlying EBITDA profit of A$5.9m (£2.7m) in 2014. Sales were up 5% year on year to A$235.9m (£108m).

Carl Jackson, chief executive of MySale Group, said:

“Following a year of some challenges in FY2015, we look forward with optimism to FY2016. The group undertook a number of actions at the time of our half-year that refocussed all our resources on our core business. This delivered a return to modest profitability in the second half and we continue to focus on these initiatives in the financial year to June 2016.”
