N Brown appoints chief information officer to underpin growth plans

Home shopping group N Brown has appointed Co-op’s Andy Haywood as its new chief information officer, as the company revamps its IT system.

Haywood will be chief information officer of the JD Williams operating board, which oversees all the company’s brands including Jacamo and Simply Be, and will head up a programme of change designed to improve the company’s processes, simplifying the shopping experience for customers.

Haywood was chief information officer at Boots from November 2009 to December 2011 and previously led the business integration programme of Asda with its parent Walmart. He was chief information officer for the Co-operative Group from January 2012 to May 2014.

N Brown chief executive Angela Spindler said Haywood’s appointment would “underpin [N Brown’s] ambition to transform, modernise and grow the business going forward”.
