N Brown delivered a 7.1% surge in pre-tax profits to £45m for the first half of the year as the home shopping business revealed plans to roll out its Simply Be and Jacamo store portfolio.
In the 26 weeks to August 31 total group revenue grew by 8% to £409.6m as like-for-like sales increased 7.8%.
Ecommerce sales also increased during the period, rising 13%, with mobile accounting for 36% of web traffic.
Chief executive Angela Spindler said: “As these results demonstrate, the business is performing well, with significant opportunity for growth in the future based around our products, delivery channels and international development.”
Since the end of the period sales have continued to improve, with like-for-likes up 8% in the five weeks.
The company, which has seven shops, including six dual fascia Simply Be and Jacamo stores, plans to grow its estate to around 25. Two dual fascia stores will open in Leeds and Derby by the end of the month.
N Brown opened its first physical stores for the brands in 2011. Before that sales were solely through online and catalogue.
