N Brown's COO steps down

N Brown Group’s chief operations officer Andy Haywood has resigned after three years at the business.

Haywood joined the company after two years as The Co-operative Group’s chief information officer and spent two years at Boots as IT director prior to this.

Haywood will leave in spring 2018, and N Brown Group will be recruiting for a new chief technology officer who has not yet been confirmed.

N Brown Group’s revenue was up 5.6% year-on-year to £453.4m for the 26 weeks to 2 September 2017 thanks to a strong performance in womenswear.

Financial services revenue crept up 1.1% in the period while adjusted EBITDA slipped 0.2% to £49m.

A spokeswoman from N Brown Group said: “Andy has been instrumental in implementing key and wide reaching IT infrastructure changes during the last few years and we are grateful for his significant contribution.

“During this time we have also adjusted our approach to change, moving to agile methodologies which will enable efficient and faster paced development of our technology base going forward. Entering this new phase created an inflection point for Andy and for the business.

“Andy will be taking on a new challenge building a portfolio of roles and departs with our thanks and very best wishes, leaving a strong and experienced team in place.

”We are recruiting for a new CTO to join the executive board. Andy will leave in Spring 2018, after a smooth handover.”
