Plus-size premium womenswear etailer Navabi has launched a capsule collection from its brand, Manon Baptiste, on Simply Be, marking its first foray into third-party selling.
The eight-piece 1970s-style capsule collection features mini-dresses, blouses and denim culottes, and will only be sold on the Simply Be website. The collection is available in sizes 14 to 28 and retail prices range from £99 to £199.99.
Manon Baptiste is the biggest of Navabi’s five own brands. The platform sells a total of 150 plus-size brands.
Miriam Lahage, Navabi’s chief merchant, said: “We were really pleasantly surprised to be approached by such a successful and established retailer as Simply Be. Their interest speaks to the strength of the Manon Baptiste design.”
Manon Baptiste was originally established to fill gaps in the market quickly. Its made-to-order production process has allowed Navabi to trial fashion-led styles, which can be put into mainstream production if demand is high. Today around half of Manon Baptiste’s sales come from made to order.
Lahage added that, although Navabi is not actively seeking partners, the company is open to inbound interest and would look at every opportunity, whether multichannel or bricks and mortar.
