Net-a-Porter appoints new buying director

Nayla Touma, previously division merchandise manager for footwear, New York at Bergdorf Goodman, has been appointed buying director at Net-a-Porter.

Touma will oversee Net-a-Porter’s global buying strategy across shoes, handbags and accessories and will report to global buying director Elizabeth von der Goltz.

She will join the team at the end of February and relocate to Net-a-Porter’s London headquarters in April.

Touma joined Bergdorf Goodman five years ago as buyer for advanced contemporary and designer shoes and previously held various buying roles at Bloomingdales New York.

Billie Faricy-Hyett, senior buyer, has also been promoted to the new role of buying manager for handbags, accessories and beauty. Thalia Tserevegou, also a senior buyer, will become the new buying manager for shoes.

Both take up their roles with immediate effect.
