Graduate Fashion Week is to add a second show to its schedule in order to showcase all students' entries.
The move coincides with the creation of menswear and womenswear awards, alongside the existing River Island Gold Award.
The 16th edition of the event, which is being sponsored by River Island for the third year running, will take place from June 3 at the Battersea Park Arena in Battersea, south London.
The second awards show will take place before the main awards event, to cater for visitor demand for a catwalk show of all the students' designs.
The River Island Gold Award includes a £20,000 cheque. In addition, there is the Accessories Award, which will be sponsored by Mulberry.
Other awards include the Zandra Rhodes Catwalk Textiles Award and a Visionary Knitwear Award.
Four additional universities - the University of Manchester, Bath Spa University, the University of Central England (Birmingham) and the University of Hertfordshire - will also take part for the first time this year, bringing the total number of universities to 48.
