New Look appoints former Asda and Matalan boss as non-executive chairman

New Look has appointed Paul Mason as non-executive chairman, effective immediately.

Mason will succeed Tom Singh, who holds the role on an interim basis. Singh will remain non-executive director of New Look.

Mason has previously held chief executive roles at Somerfield, Matalan and Asda, and was European president and head of global retail at Levi Strauss. He is also chairman of Cath Kidston and the Mayborn Group.

New Look chief executive Anders Kristiansen: “Paul’s strong track record speaks for itself and I am delighted to welcome him to New Look. Paul joins at an exciting time for the company and I look forward to working with him as we focus on implementing our international strategy and continue to invest in our product, people, websites and stores.”
