New Look appoints Tesco’s Mike Iddon as chief financial officer

New Look has appointed former Tesco group finance director Mike Iddon as its new chief financial officer.

Iddon will start his role later this year, with Richard Collyer staying in the role of interim chief financial officer until he joins.

Iddon has worked at Tesco for 13 years. Prior to his current role, he was the UK finance director for the company. He has also held senior positions at Kingfisher and Whitbread.

New Look’s former chief financial officer, Alastair Miller, announced that he was leaving the company after 13 years in November.

Anders Kristiansen, chief executive of New Look, said: “Mike brings with him an excellent track record and also a highly valuable breadth and depth of experience of the retail sector.”

Iddon added: “I am very excited to be joining New Look at this pivotal point in its story, as it looks to consolidate its impressive achievements in the last two years and focus on its next phase of growth – both in the UK and internationally. I look forward to working with Anders and the team to help realise New Look’s undoubted potential.”
