New Look’s buying and merchandising director Philip Walker has left the company after less than a year in the role.
Walker, who took on the job last June, has been at New Look since October 2011, joining originally as group sourcing and menswear director.
His departure follows several other exits, with three staffers moving over to Blue Inc.
Head of buying Jamie Bakehouse left the retailer in August to become buying and design director at the young fashion chain, while Hannah McCreadie, senior buyer for mens footwear and accessories, left in December to join as head of buying for footwear. Senior buyer’s assistant Gemma Dunn joined Blue Inc in November as assistant buyer.
Last week Drapers reported that former River Island menswear buying controller Shailen Unalkat had been appointed head of buying for menswear at New Look.
Unalkat, who has been at River Island since 2004, will spearhead the company’s new menswear strategy,
New Look declined to comment.
