New Look launches 360 degree mirror

New Look has launched a 360 degree mirror, which enables shoppers to see their bottoms in that crucial pair of jeans.

The “Delay Mirror”, which has launched at New Look’s Birmingham store, allows customers to see themselves from every angle using a clever technology system of a video camera, mirror and a plasma screen.

The camera shoots an image of the customer wearing their chosen outfit and then plays back the image on a mirror in front of the customer which doubles as a plasma screen.

The mirror was invented at the Interactive Institute in Sweden, as a part of a series of projects investigating the future use of technology in retail spaces.

The Interactive Institute was commissioned by New Look to develop the Delay Mirror Wall as an element of their brand development process.

Three Delay Mirrors have been installed in the communal fitting room of the new store in Birmingham.
