New Look owner Tom Singh and Raj Sehgal of Internacionale are among the 101 richest Asians in Britain.
The minimum net worth to get on the list, which has been published for the last five years by Asian Marketing and Media Group (AMG), is £55m.
Singh and his wife Kuljit were the highest ranking fashion names, worth a collective £350m.
“When the history of high street fashion in Britain in the 1980s is being written, some attention should be paid to Singh and New Look,” AMG said.
Sitting below the husband and wife team is Sehgal, whose business Internacionale entered administration in February, and his brother-in-law Sanjeev Mehan, who founded supplier Visage, which was sold to Li & Fung four years ago for £173m. They are worth an estimated £140m.
Also on the list is Mahmud Kahmani, founder of Boohoo.com, which went public in March, with a market cap of around £850m. Boohoo raised £300m from the IPO, with the Kamani family collecting £240m. The family is now listed as being worth £250m.
Brothers Afzal and Akmal Khushi, who set up outdoor clothing brand Trespass, are estimated to be worth £70m.
