New menswear independent opens in Norwich

A new menswear independent called Working Title Clothing has opened in Norwich. It stocks brands including Cheap Monday, WeSC, Björn Borg, Good For Nothing, Jeepers Peepers, Casual Friday, Colours & Sons, Eks’Kwizit, Jollie Goods and Dr Denim.

Working Title Clothing was established by owner Martin Turner at 27c Bedford Street in The Lanes and opened last week. It also features a coffee shop supplied by partner David Lane of Grey Seal Coffee.

The 516 sq ft store also stocks its own limited edition T-shirts called Each to Their Own, which are designed by local artists, illustrators, graphic designers and tattooists.

”I have worked in clothing retail for many years having had an interest in fashion from a young age, it was either that or I wanted to be a singer,” said Turner. ”I have always wanted to open my own shop, be my own boss and decide on the ethos of the store. After a recent visits to Barcelona and London I was inspired to take the plunge and go for it.

”I eventually want to expand the range of exclusive brands and to open in other locations in East Anglia.”
