The Al Mana group, which is based in Doha, is considering opening new BHS branches in the UK, according to The Guardian.

Al Mana is reportedly looking for a franchise partner to operate a “handful” of stores in the UK.

In June Al Mana bought 70 international BHS stores and the online part of the company. The final 22 BHS stores in the UK closed on Sunday.

Meanwhile former BHS owner Sir Philip Green reportedly wants the pension regulators to drop the probe into the BHS pension deficit if he makes a “voluntary” contribution to the fund, according to Sky News.

It is thought Green would have to pay £300m towards plugging the pension deficit.
