New retail training scheme to launch

Property company British Land is launching a new customer service training scheme across six of its shopping centres in a bid to help unemployed young people find work.

The five-week Bright Lights scheme, which is being run in partnership with The Source Skills Academy, offers 16-24 year-olds work experience at retailers, customer service qualifications and help preparing for job interviews, as well as coaching sessions from industry experts.

Bright Lights will be running at Sheffield’s Meadhowhall, Teeside, New Mersey in Speke, Beaumont in Leicester, St Stephens in Hull and Serpentine Green in Peterborough.
