New set-up at DC Company

Footwear and accessories supplier The DC Company Group is overhauling its strategy in a bid to boost sales, improve customer relationships and make product more suited to the UK market.
The group, which is the licensee for Levi’s footwear and accessories, has appointed Cristiano Gambino as Euro-pean export manager to push through the changes and John Smith, a former sales director at footwear brand Caterpillar as UK country manager to manage the UK business from an office in London.

Gambino, who previously worked in New York for a firm called Zinco, says the new set-up means the company can focus on offering product that is better targeted to UK customers.

New designers will be hired to tap into British style, yet Gambino is determined to maintain the brand’s essence.

The first collection under the new structure will be introduced for spring 09. Call 020 7602 0288 for more information.
