Outdoor lifestyle company Patagonia has relocated its London showroom and established its first UK headquarters in Manchester.
The brand, which previously had a showroom on Margaret Street near Oxford Circus in London’s West End and ran its UK operations from the European HQ in Amsterdam, has taken on a Victorian warehouse on Sackville Street in Manchester’s city centre, which will house both the showroom and UK head office.
Four of Patagonia’s six-strong UK team will be based in the Manchester office: UK & Ireland country manager Alex Beasley, dealer services representative Rebecca Hardacre and its northern sales representative Steve Fisher, as well as a marketing manager, for which it is currently recruiting.
Patagonia said the move will provide support for the business as it continues to grow.
“Patagonia has a new home which showcases the brand, has a great look and feel in keeping with the vision of the brand and is easy to get to,” added Beasley. “The investment from the brand in the UK is also clearly evident. We expect it to be central to the continued invigoration of Patagonia in the UK.”
The Californian company specialises in performance and down-filled outerwear for men and women. Current UK stockists include John Lewis, Mr Porter and Asos.com.
