New womenswear independent to open in Lincoln

A new womenswear independent will open in Lincoln next month stocking contemporary Scandinavian brands.

Salt Lincoln will open its doors at 2 St Benedicts Square in Lincoln on September 5, with launch brands including Coster Copenhagen, Becksöndergaard, Soaked in Luxury and Twist & Tango.

The 700 sq ft store is being launched by Richard Jenkins and Jules White, who moved to the city from London.

“I had worked in fashion retail for 25 years as an independent manager and continued to do that after we moved here,” White told the Lincolnshire Echo.

“In the south, we had seen high streets suffer from high rents, but Lincoln offered us a brilliant opportunity to bring something new to the city. We have exclusivity on the brands we are stocking, within a 25-mile range of Lincoln. Our new shop is in a great position and it was pretty much ready to go.”
