New York Fashion Week: Narcisco Rodriguez echoes feminine vibe

Narcisco Rodriguez showed a collection of elegant tailoring and classic dresses for spring 11.

Dresses were often calf-length and incredibly simple in style with shift shapes and shoe-string straps on slipdresses the order of the day.

This was a collection where the detail was purely in the cut of beautifully draped fabrics, offset by the occasional glimpse of lingerie-inspired detailing, such as bra-straps glimpsed through sheer panels or peeping from the backs of dresses.

Tailoring was relaxed and less structured than the sharply shouldered jackets of recent seasons, with softly structured coats thrown over relaxed trousers, tunic tops or straight over dresses.

Even the palette was plain, with white, cream and black running through the entire show.
