Next group finance director David Keens to retire after 28 years

Next’s group finance director David Keens will retire next spring after 28 years at the retailer.

Keens has told the board he plans to retire shortly after Next publishes its results in March 2015. He has sat on the board since 1991, and has served in his current position for 23 years.

Brand finance director Amanda James will take up the reins when he steps down.

She has been with the company for 18 years, heading the management accounting and commercial finance team since 2005, before being appointed commercial finance director in 2009. She has been in her current role since 2012.
