Martin Mason, whose CV includes stints in senior positions at Pringle, Mulberry, Tanner Krolle, MCM and most recently as CEO of Lulu Guinness, has been appointed as chief executive of Nicole Farhi with effect from April 1.

The British brand’s owner, Maxine Hargreaves-Adams, commented: “I am delighted that Martin will be joining us as chief executive.  Martin brings with him a wealth of luxury goods experience and an ability to drive our plans for international expansion.”

Mason said: “I am very pleased to be joining Nicole Farhi; it is an iconic and much-loved British brand and an exceptional opportunity for growth. There is much work to do and I look forward to working with Maxine and all the management team.”

Launched in 1982 as part of the French Connection Group, Nicole Farhi was acquired by Maxine Hargreaves-Adams, the owner of Fenn Wright Manson and daughter of Matalan founder John Hargreaves, in July 2013.
