Nigel Addison returns to lead Duck and Cover

Nigel Addison will return to Duck and Cover as managing director from November 6.

Addison spent 10 years as sales and marketing director at Duck and Cover before joining Wacoal Eveden as sales director for the UK and Ireland in 2008.

He will be based in London’s Park Royal along with the rest of Duck and Cover’s senior management team. Current managing director and owner Ashwin Shah will move to the role of chief executive.

“I am really pleased Nigel will be joining us again,” said Shah. “Having worked with us previously he has a vision for the brand, so we will work together to look at where we are currently and where we want to go.”

Duck and Cover’s head of sales Gareth Jones left the business at the end of September after three years in the role. Shah said he will work with Addison to determine if this role will be replaced.

“This is a very exciting time for me to lead the Duck and Cover team in terms of strategy and focus, but I am sad to leave such a fantastic organisation as Wacoal Europe [as Wacoal Eveden will be known from January 2015],” said Addison.

Addison formerly held sales director roles at Winterland, Red or Dead and French Connection.

Tracy Lewis, chief executive of Wacoal Eveden, said: “We’re delighted for Nigel, he has done a great job in steering the ship on our UK and Ireland business over the last six years.

“In line with our strategic plans for 2015 and becoming Wacoal Europe, we are creating a new position of general manager for the whole of Europe. This role will encompass responsibility for all of our markets across Europe including the UK, and we are excited about this new development.”
