Nike and Gap Outlet have signed deals to become anchor tenants within the new leisure and entertainment complex Resorts World Birmingham, which is located at the NEC and will open in 2015.
The outlets account for 100,000 sq ft of the 450,000 sq ft retail space, which is divided into 50 units.
The £150m complex, owned by Genting UK, will be home to a four star boutique hotel, an 11-screen cinema, a casino, 11 restaurants and conference and banqueting centre.
Birmingham is the first Resorts World to be opened outside Asia and the US and joins centres located in Singapore, Malaysia, Manila and New York.
“The signing of Gap Outlet and Nike is a significant step towards to the delivery of our vision for the first Resorts World to open in Europe,” said Steve Myers, managing director of development for Genting UK.
“The scheme is now 70% let and we will be announcing further exciting brands that will join us at Resorts World in the coming months.”
