Nike concludes global pay review

Nike is set to raise wages for around 7,500 employees after it concluded a global pay review, two months after the sports brand finished a probe into workplace behaviour that resulted in the departure of some top executives.

About 10% of employees will receive pay adjustments across the company, according to Reuters.

The sportswear company has been under scrutiny for its workplace behaviour, which saw its chief executive Mark Parker apologise to employees in May for its past work culture.

It was reported by the Wall Street Journal that the pay adjustment would begin in August and be annualised over the balance of the company’s fiscal year.
