Brand house Perry Ellis has signed agency Northern Lights to represent Farah Vintage in the north of England from autumn 13.
This will be the first time the account has been handled externally, and comes as Northern Lights moves into larger showrooms in central Manchester. The new Royal Mills suite, on Redhill Street, is 5,700 sq ft.
Perry Ellis awarded the contract after the agent’s “fantastic” work with Original Penguin, which it has represented in the north for the past six years.
The agreement will also extend that partnership.
Francisco Gonzalez-Meza Hoffmann, managing director of Perry Ellis, said: “Nigel, Lenny and the entire Northern Lights team have been a key to the growth of Original Penguin in the North of the UK and we are very pleased with our continued partnership. We look forward to replicating that success now with our Farah Vintage line.”
Northern Lights’ joint owners Nigel Eley and Len Hamilton said: “This is a great opportunity to be part of one of the greatest brand revivals that the UK fashion market has seen”
