Fashion and lifestyle etailer notonthehighstreet.com has launched its first dedicated overseas marketplace in Germany, the first step in its wider international expansion plans.
The site went live last week with over 100 German designers and independent retailers on board following a year of research into the market.
The move follows significant growth in sales and web traffic from Europe for the UK-based business, which sells clothing, accessories, gifts, art and homeware. The site has seen a 50% increase in web traffic in two years, and some 70% of the UK-based designers and retailers on its books now trade internationally.

Notontheghighstreet.com was founded in 2006 by Cornish and partner Holly Tucker and had a turnover of £134,000 in its first year. Its total transactional value in 2013 was £83.3m.
