Oasis invests in social technology

Oasis has launched two new social features to engage shoppers and pull its online and bricks-and-mortar offers closer together.

Oasis My Way pulls photos and videos from social channels including Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #OasisFashion onto a gallery on the Oasis homepage. Technology from visual marketing platform Olapic allows Oasis to tag the products so users can shop straight from the images.

The womenswear business has also launched a localised fashion feed into three of its stores, in London’s Argyll Street, Birmingham Bullring and Glasgow’s Buchanan Galleries. Using existing digital screens in the stores, shoppers can see what has been bought online in their area in real time.

Briony Garbett, Oasis director of digital, said: “Both functions continue to support our mission to establishing an exciting and enriched omnichannel shopping environment that is equally aligned to our brand and trading values across online, social, mobile and in stores.”
