John Isler, sales director and one of the longest-serving team members at Boohoo, has died.
Isler joined Pinstripe Clothing, a fashion supplier set up by Boohoo founder and co-chief executive Mahmud Kamani’s father, Abdullah Bhanji Kamani, in 1993.
Isler lived and breathed the textile industry and quickly became an integral part of the business, building a strong wholesale operation that saw him work with most of the key players on the high street.
When Boohoo was formed in 2006, Isler played a key role in building the foundations to establish the business and support its growth.
He is survived by his wife, two children and grandchildren.
Kamani and Boohoo’s other co-chief executive, Carol Kane, said Isler will be “sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of working with him”.
“John has been on our journey with us from the start. He was a gentleman, a wonderful human being and it has been our privilege to call him a friend and colleague.”
