Elliot Brown, managing director EMEA at Perry Ellis International, has died aged 47 after a short battle with cancer.
Brown had a career spanning over 25 years in the fashion industry. His first job was at Harvey Nichols and he quickly progressed through to his first senior role at Marc O’Polo.
He subsequently held positions at leading international companies including Wolverine World Wide, Converse, Levi Strauss and Barbour.
“Elliot brought a high level of expertise to fostering and developing strong relationships with business partners,” said Ian Bergin, director of menswear at Barbour. “He was a key figure in the development of the modern Barbour brand and an inspirational leader and colleague. It was a great experience to work alongside him.”
Participating in triathlons had become a passion for Brown and as with everything else that he did, he always looked to perform at his best, competing strongly and facing challenging conditions in a wholehearted manner. It was with this spirit and fortitude he fought his battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife Zillah and daughter Zara.
