Odyssey Boutique to launch London pop-up

Edinburgh-based lingerie retailer Odyssey Boutique is opening its debut pop-up store in London next month.

The store, which was opened by Sarah Connelly in 2010, currently has one shop on Edinburgh’s William Street.

The London pop-up will run as a “lingerie fitting and styling salon”. It will be Connelly’s first move away from Edinburgh, as she eyes further expansion for the business in the future.

Taking place on 23-24 February, the pop-up will be held in a private suite of the Leman Locke hotel in east London. It will operate on an appointment only basis, and Connelly is aiming to replicate the luxurious customer experience she provides in her Edinburgh shop.

When Odyssey Boutique won Niche Fashion Retailer of the Year in 2017 at the Drapers Independents Awards, it was particularly praised for its high level of personal service and Connelly’s expertise in lingerie.

Brands on offer at the pop-up will include Coco de Mer, Fleur of England and Simone Pérèle. Appointments wll be available to book through Odyssey’s website.

Speaking to Drapers, Connelly said: “I’ve always done lots of travelling, and it’s within the ethos of the business to explore. I want to bring my services to places beyond Edinburgh.”
