Oliver Spencer makes new hires, plots two more London stores

Luxury lifestyle brand Oliver Spencer has hired Peter Lynes as commercial director as the business looks to expand its physical presence.

Lynes, who is now in place at the business, joined from Peter Werth, where he was managing director. Previous roles include sales director at Fred Perry.

Founder Oliver Spencer told Drapers the move was “part of a strategic decision to add more staff”, with further appointments bolstering its store headcount expected shortly.

The brand, which currently has four stores - one in Soho, two in Bloomsbury and one in Toronto, Canada - is planning to expand by opening a further two branches later this year.

The new stores will be in east and west London respectively, and will be similar in size to existing stores, such as the 850 sq ft Lamb’s Conduit Street branch. Spencer would not be drawn on which specific locations were being targeted.
