On Off announces new venue at London Fashion Week

On Off, London Fashion Week's showcase for emerging talent, will take place at the Science Museum in South Kensington, London for next season, February 22-24.

The space will hold up to 500 guests and feature catwalk shows and exhibitions, which will take place on level 2.

On Off has previously showed at the Royal Academy of Arts for the last four years. The Science Museum has played host to showcases from some of fashions biggest names including Julien MacDonald and Aquascutum. It is situated next to the Natural History Museum, the location for the London Fashion Week tents.

On Off founder and creative director Lee Lapthorne said: "We've enjoyed four successful years at the Royal Academy of Arts and showcased some enviable designers over the seasons. We are really excited about the new venue and look forward to using our cutting edge approach and technology to create a unique environment for our designers."

Lapthorne said, although the catwalk is larger in the new space, the capacity of the event is smaller. But he feels this will help create a more intimate atmosphere, and help the event become more niche.
