The new shopping and lifestyle district, Coal Drops Yard, in London’s King’s Cross, is to open on 26 October.
Designed by Heatherwick Studio, the new district has 50 stores, restaurants and cafes. Shoe and accessory brand Tracey Neuls, independent boutique Studio One Twenty, restaurant Morty & Bob’s and premium sportswear brand The Sports Edit are among the latest signings.
Coal Drops Yard was originally established in 1850 to handle coal delivered to London. It is home to nightclubs Bagley’s and The Cross.
Developer Argent said the stores in the new centre will act as “showcases for some of the world’s most forward-thinking brands”.
Paul Smith, Tom Dixon, Samsung, Cubitts, Universal Works, Maya Magal London and Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse are among the retailers confirmed to take space so far.
