Oppermann launches pop-up London flagship

Online accessories brand Oppermann has launched its first physical store, in the form of a three-month pop-up shop in London.

The luxury retailer was founded in 2012, with this new flagship in London’s Royal Exchange marking the start of an expansion into physical retail.

The store will allow Oppermann to offer click-and-collect to customers, with founder Niklas Oppermann saying it will give consumers a chance to see the products before they buy them. He said: “As a luxury accessories brand working mainly with leather, we want to offer our customers a chance to see our products first-hand, to smell and touch the leather, see the finishing and hear the stories.”

The store was designed in collaboration with furniture architect David Ross, and aims to achieve a slick minimalist aesthetic.

Oppermann becomes the latest in a series of online retailers to open physical stores, following US brand Reformation and fast fashion brand Missguided.
