Outfit continues retail park expansion

Arcadia’s Outfit fascia has agreed a new lease at a retail park in Basildon and has re-geared leases in Stockton-on-Tees and Edinburgh with landlord British Land.

Outfit - which includes Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Oasis, Topshop, Topman, Wallis and Warehouse - has signed for a 12,500 sq ft store at the former Next site at Mayflower Park in Basildon, which will open on October 24.

It has also renegotiated leases on a 15,000 sq ft store at Teesside Shopping Park in Stockton-on-Tees and a 10,000 sq ft store at Fort Kinnaird Shopping Park in Edinburgh. All the leases are for a period of 10 years and the stores have trading mezzanines.

John Maddison, head of retail park asset management for British Land, said: “We are delighted to have agreed this series of deals with Outfit, particularly at Mayflower Retail Park which recently saw Next upsize to a 47,500 sq ft store. The openings will broaden and complement the existing fashion provision across these parks and strengthen our relationship with one of our key tenants.”

British Land was represented by Harvey Spack Field at Mayflower Retail Park, Wilkinson Williams and Jones Lang LaSalle at Teesside Shopping Park, and Montagu Evans and Eric Young & Co at Fort Kinnaird Shopping Park.
